COVID-19  (CORONAVIRUS)  -  AHBC Response and Action Plan  (2022/03/21)

For over two years we have been inundated with COVID-19 news and the health, social, financial and spiritual impacts of it both locally and abroad.  It has caused a significant degree of fear and uncertainty. Whether such fear and panic is warranted, yet in the face of uncertainty there are some things individuals and organizations have been doing.  With concerns about the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus and its variants, and the effect it can have on all ages, especially those with immune difficencies or underlying medical conditions, AHBC has been diligent to reduce COVID-19 potential spread among the church.

With the provincial lifting of the mask mandate and a return to capacity limits in places of worship

and business, we are thankful to be able to return to a level of full gathering capacity for worship.  Along with our gatherings for worship, our Sunday morning adult Bible study, nursery and in-service children's Bible studies also continue. Our after service fellowship time has also resumed. We are also planning the re-starting of a number of our other ministries and will provide updates as they develop.  The men's prayer breakfast continues to meet off site.

For those who are unvaccinated or continue to remain concerned for their personal health and safety regarding COVID variant transmission, we encourage you to consider wearing a mask as you join us for worship and fellowship.  All are welcome!  Social distancing should also be a consideration if feeling concerned.  We continue to monitor the situation and move forward in consideration of our church family's well being.

We strive to make Albion Hills Bible Church safe, yet welcoming.  Albion Hills Bible Church has also taken steps to help minimise exposure and reduce the spread of COVID-19 at our church buildings.  Efforts have been taken to do thorough cleaning of all gathering spaces, contact surfaces and washrooms in preparation for our small group gatherings at the church.

We would encourage church members to continue pray for one another and for those in our communities who continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 virus.  Consider how we might all be ambassadors for Christ in our own, unique ways to those in need during these times.

Should you choose to participate in other, non-church active small group gatherings, please consider the following guideline from the Public Health Agency of Canada.

•   COVID-19  -  Risks and Prevention

If you are showing symptoms of COVID infection, please consider self-monitoring, and contact local public health agencies as soon as possible for testing, and follow their instructions.

Be encouraged however through these times that God is ultimately in control of all things.  We live in a sin filled, sick and corrupted world, one which God has promised to create anew one day.  God does not promise a life of good health and physical security while we live in this world.  He does promise something better... eternal life, everlasting security, hope, peace and rest in His Son, Jesus Christ.  If you know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, then you know living through the struggles of this earthly life are but momentary.  If you don't know what Jesus has done for you already, and haven't trusted Him alone for salvation from the consequences of your sins, we'd be happy to explain this further.  Don't hesitate to send us an email.

Thank you and God bless.
